i was told that race pipes are way better then High Flow Cats for FI. so Since i got the full stillen cat back exhaust i was gonna stick to the stillen race pipes. So im on the website stillen.com about to order them and i see this "Stainless Steel Race Pipes - Not For Forced Induction Applications" Do they mean Superchargers only because i know headers are better with those or ALL FI Including TT?? Because i see no way race pipes would affect a TT kit unless im wrong?

 

I'm not sure why they would say that. I've got APS 2.5 inch test pipes on my ride... Not F/I yet, but I haven't found a pair of HFC that are good quality. Grab some aps test pipes, the bigger the better. 2.5 inch is a good start tho.

HFC's work well too. anything to free up that back pressure of the stock cats should give you some nice F/I increases.

 

Just as kind of a warning tho, I have Test Pipes and the stillen exhaust. You are going to sound like a motor cycle and have a lot of rasp after 3k

 

I heard that you only get the rasp noise if your running NA. Once you get FI the rasp noise goes away. Anyone know if this is true or not??

Alright appreciate it.Because now im debating on getting the Stillen Test Pipes or some HFC not sure which brand tho. But i also heard that HFC don't give as much performance with FI then Test Pipes. But i might be wrong.

 

I had Crawford HFC with injen ses, my exhaust rattled like your parents upstairs when your trying to watch tv, and then my HFC gave way and rattled even worse (which I didn't know was possible)

So I was semi-saving up for some boost, that and japtrix told me most HFC are the biggest pos you can spend your money on (dont buy crawford or kintex) so I went with aps 2.5 test pipes and a stillen exhaust. I gained 5rwhp throughout the band which I was happy about, and no more rattling. (and my cats dont hit everytime I go over a speed bump.

It reeks of pure gasoline, and is loud/raspy. But you get great preformence out of them.

I'm at infiniti right now gettin service done, if they get done soon i'll get some sound clips before I go off to work.
