This is exactly why winter tires are required in snow. Totalled car to save $1000=owned. Let this be a lesson for everyone. DON'T USE SUMMER TIRES IN THE SNOW!

The other driver didn't do anything against the law. The OP even states "...I was driving down a normal busy street and some a$$hole was in front of me trying to **** me of by going really slow..." Maybe the other driver was driving the appropriate speed for the road conditions and our friend was getting frustrated. We weren't there, but looking at the pictures it's easy to determine that the roads were slippery. I feel bad for the person who wrecked his G, but that's the risk you take when speeding around another car in a moment of anger.

No he was purposely messing with me and that i kno for sure! and what do u mean he didnt do anething against the law? he put his left turn signal on so i started to go around him and than he just kept going...it's not like i was trying to race him, i was just going around since i noticed he was turning left, and when he didnt want to let me in i had to ad gas to get in otherwise i would have hit the parked cars ahead of me

glad that you made it out,
dont wanna be an ******* but for some reason i think u provoked him by tailgating, ppl in chicago (i live close by, and visit there couple times a week) especially the ones w/ sporty looking cars just tend to tailgate ppl trying to speed them up a little, u sure u didnt do anything wrong to him that he was going so slow in front? Ego should never take over the wheel.

turn signal - you wont be able to build a case on that, and police wont even listen to that excuse, they guy could just say "sorry thought i was going to turn but it wasnt the right street" im not defending the other guy, but you should maintain a safe distance and let the vehicle turn and then proceed, ppl might honk yell and flick u off, dont pay attention to them

How could you go around him if you would have hit parked cars to begin with? I guess since you ended up hitting the parked cars anyway, the end result was still the same.

I feel bad for you, it sucks to wreck a car when it was completely avoidable in the frist place.

WOW!! That looks bad, in the end I am happy that you walked away and that no one was severely hurt. So, technically - it was not your worst night because you are able to speak about it to us now. The car can be fixed, its only material stuff.

I live in NYC, and it doesnt matter if your VDC is on or off - if the roads are bad as in our case being icey then our G's are going to skid. You hvae to be very cautious when driving on snow, icey or slushy roads.

Mistake #1: DMV gives this kid a license to drive on the same roads as me.

Mistake #2: Parents buy spoiled 17 yr old boy powerful RWD car.

Mistake #3: Illegal pass on the right in slick conditions

I feel bad for the seven people who now have wrecked cars because of your irresponsible actions. Good job junior.

Flooring it in bad weather is simply asking for trouble, EVEN WITH snow tires - it should be no big surprise that your going to lose control.
Insurance won't look upon this too favourably.... glad you didn't hit any pedestrians - you'd have to live with that for the rest of your life.
