Very cool to do this in your own car. I did the Petty Experience at Atlanta Motor Speedway in their race prepared cars and it is very hard keep it wide open with the wall coming right at you.

I did the Andretti thing, they go as fast as they think you can go.

I got to 165, the highest out of anyone... going fast is a breeze

Thanx for all the good comments, everyone!

The most notable cars I saw, besides the Bronco (LOL), was a GT500 (Shelby?), a Porsche carrera (older model?), and some old-school big American Musclecar that was really loud. It was fitting, I guess.

For the most part, people seemed older (40,50), longtime NASCAR fans, wife in the car, etc. Most were well behaved and stuck together behind the pacecar.
A Bronco (or Jeep?) driver came up to me after his run all grinning and excited because he hit the 100mph mark.

That was a pretty funny comment, I must admit.
...but you didn't mention my Brembos. LOL.

I'm doing 140 in my G on Talladega Super Speedway.
'nuff said.

140mph! Man, just 60 mph faster and you could be hanging with the big dogs! 60 mph is nothing! You could do it!

Sounds like fun.
I've been wanting to do that for a couple months now. I hear at you can do the same thing here at texas motor speedway. I think you inspired me to really do it.
