replacement wheel rivets

im trying to get my wheels powdercoated (sevas s22) and the people said they would have to drill through the rivets. so that means i need a total of 124 replacement rivets or i cant get them powdercoated.

have any of you guys used another method to remove the rivets(which left them usable)?

do you know where i can get some more rivets (original or aftermarket)?

no they dont screw off
theyre plastic so the people jus drill through em instead of taking the time to carefully remove them and place them back in properly

Aren't Sevas wheels actually 1-piece? or 2-piece w/ imitation rivets to mimic a 3 piece wheel?

ya do not let them drill that out or your wheels are as good as garbage. pop the plastic rivets off them glue them back on after the wheels are one piece

well i like the wheels and the whole reason im worried about rivets is because im powdercoating and not painting. the design of the rim is not a problem at all. its just the color and im not exactly leaning towards the idea of buying multipiece wheels just so i can have removeable metal rivets. im tired of the I.P. on black so i wanna try I.P. S-22's on my IP coupe. i just dont wanna paint them cause then I would have to worry about damaging the paint in the future .

how do you think i should go about tying to pop them off ? pliers? fishing wire ? im pretty sure if used pliers that at least one of the 124 rivets would break on me with my luck lol

have you even tried taking them off yet? Why not buy wheels in the color you want instead of going through all this trouble w/ fake rivets.

you could try to get them off but I am sure they are on they pretty good so why not just paint them it will hold up better than you think

ross, i'd definitely just paint em, but make sure whoever paints em puts on a couple extra coats of clear and you should have no problem with damaging the paint later on.

looks like im gonna have em painted. kinda dissappointed but as long as the paint holds up for a decent amount of time i think i will be satisfied. now i gotta find a reliable place to get these things painted.

anybody know of and decent shops around the 562 or 714 areas?
price isnt really a factor but i still want something reasonable. lol.

thx in advance
