Anyone cutting their spring mounts should take GThIrtYFiZle's offer. It was a royal pain in the a$$ cutting those things.

Not sure if you are asking me. Regardless, I have the same setup as the thread starter, except for 15mm spacers all around.

I am running stock 19 inch rims on 245/35 Potenzas

 

so the springmount mod.. you only did in the rear right? now.. did you do this because you wanted to lower the rear more?

 

I was actually trying to raise the rear. You can imagine my disappointment.

this mod is ONLY for the REAR, if you do even a little reading about the G suspension you'll understand how this isn't possible for the front

^^ Haha, good one. There are a few on here that would say that.
Accordfreak, the tires I am running now are the stock ones and I beleive they are 225/40/19. When I switch over to my 20 they will be 245/35/20.
By the way, when i switch my rims, the front should be even a bit lower than now correct? I say this cuz even though the tire looses .5" the rim gains 1" which means that it should make the front .5" ort so lower right?
Resipsa, thanx for reccommending my guy, I am just trying to hook up anyone who is interested, he really did a good job, and even though it doesnt have to be perfect, it is important to cut exactly how much you want and equally on both sides or else ones side will be sitting lower than the other. BTW, why do you have three pieces there?

Because my first cut ended up being at an angle. The soft rubber was 1/2 inch but the hard inner core was only 1/4 inch. And it's the inner core that matters.

It's a miracle that my rear drop turned out to be fairly even. Also, my rear drop is slightly more than my fronts.

 

if you noticed it being angled why didn't you compensate by adjusting the blade angle? If you can't get it even within +-2-3mm, maybe this isn't for everyone afterall...

As the rubber started heating up it changed consistency and began twisting my hacksaw blade. Adjusting the angle became almost impossible because the blade and the rubber just did what it wanted.

If I was going to do it again, I would cut the inside hard plastic core 1/2 inch with a dremel tool first. Then finish off the outside with a hack saw. In reality, the inside core is what determines the ride height .
