I change mine for peace of mind and use RedLine..... I track the car quite a bit though so that's the main reason I change the diff and tranny fluids on a regular basis

My owners manual says every 30K, think that's for the premium maintenance schedule.
Go here and to post #15 where I linked another post on this subject as well.

I'm going to go with Amsoil when I do mine.

I agree, I change it along with the tranny fluid. 30 to 40K is all good time for differential fluid. Get the part from Nissan Dealer ship!! Check out the part number in my attachment!!

Yeah I have that one too. Might have gotten the service manual mixed up with my owners manual.

This from my 2006 coupe owners manual. Very similar. Sorry for the bad quality. Scanned from my manual and had to decrease size in KB's.

i was actually thinking of letting the stealership do this. i've had car for over a year and only service to date they managed to grease print my door and apparently use an impact wrench on rear wheel (new TPM sensor)resulting in some nice chips outta the OEM 19's.

Don't know about you guys but the guy's i see walking in and out of the "hidden" service area look like they might show up any day on "Dog the Bounty Hunter".

On the other hand I feel if you don't throw 'em a bone once ans awhile they're liable to hose you when you need 'em. In the words of an old pal of mine "dem guys could 'F' up an Iron Ball .......... hence giving them opprtunity to change diff and tranny fluid should hopefully limit damages to unseen parts of the car........ BTW, I picked up this car on day 1 in it;s factory wrapping.
Dealer incredulous that I wouldn't allow his Monkeys to apply permanent swirl marks and now refuses to speak to me.My heart is broken. LOL

some recommend changing the diff oil really early on, to get the break-in fluid out

the vlsd is sealed so its not as important to change often as clutch type's if you drive hard. Im sure the factory recommended schedule will be fine, maybe change it a little early if you drive hard for peace of mind.
