Here's the pre 06 version I did. This is carbonfiber version. We just installed a flat black version today .

I've been planning on releasing this overlay for some time now, just never got around to it. Look for it next week .

I can't wait for mine to come in. Maybe tomm huh Bat

yep. as andy said, he took them off so he could finally make the right choice and get opaque black tgtr3 overlays.
See now I dont feel bad. Thats exactly what I did..

Maybe you can find someone with a spare set of tails you can borrow for a couple of weeks. I borrowed a set of DG painted tails from Randy and had to roll around with them for a week. It's just the price I had to pay since my G is a daily driver. Surprisingly, they didn't look as bad on my black G as I feared.

it wouldnt.

there are a few people who have done the gtr color matched taillight overlays and the majority of the people, including myself, think it looks horrible. i give props for being different, but color matched tails looks like **** on any color besides black.

my two cents..

Normally I would agree with you. But you have to see Randy's DG tails. They look amazing. I'm hoping he's going to post a pic of them.

Here's something I did with Bat's help of course on my DG. I did the reverse cut-outs myself and covered up the trunk button I never use anyway. Did this idea almost a year ago.
Do like the led clusters showing through. Nice touch. Looking good.
Running with no overlays now since I got my JDM tails.

Caseyline's probably similar but with paint and clusters showing.

Kurtis,I am glad you really like the new look. Finally seeing your overlays in person, being painted looks way better. No offense to Bat or others, but being painted looks WAY better than an overlay. They look like they belong on the car.Yes they can be painted any color and just about any way/style you want.
