'06MT New Dyno
After some new mods this week I had the car dynoed again and had some impressive gains of about 20hp and 25 torque. I had a Stillen Cat-back with Stillen headers, and a K&N CAI on the first run. I added Motordyne 5/16" spacer with Mrev2, R-tech hi-flow cats, and a JWT clutch and flywheel. All in all I am pretty happy with the numbers!
Gotta' give thanks to the guys at Pro Street here in Vegas for some great work!

Yeah Sue at Pro Street is looking into which piggyback will be best for me. I am planning to go TT at some future date so the Utec is the one I have been looking at most. I am interested in what Cobb is going to do as well. If they can do what they did for the WRX I will go with their unit instead! Assuming they ever release it...

Did you dyno your car when it was stock? If so, how much whp was it?
The second run you gained 20whp from adding Motordyne 5/16" spacer with Mrev2, R-tech hi-flow cats, and a JWT clutch and flywheel. Can I ask how much time and money did you spend for these items?

Unfortunately I never got a dyno without the Stillen parts- I had them put on at the dealership before I picked the car up. I never really planned on going as far as I have- originally all I wanted was the exhaust and a stereo. At this point I have spent around $15-$20K on performance parts. I figure I am up about 40hp (assuming around 220hp stock) and about the same in torque. I purchased the car in July and have been adding parts ever since! My suspension system is completely changed out and I plan on going after the breaks next. I am attempting to get everything in place for when I pull the trigger on a TT system.
As far as the most recent stuff: I ordered all of it online (everythingG35.com) along with Stillen sways, Tokico D-specs, and a Stillen rear strut brace. I had all of it installed on Monday and Tuesday with the Dyno run Saturday night to give me time to break in the new clutch.

actually stock for an 06 6MT is pretty high its around 260something on a DynaPack and 240something on a dynoJET
Pix:

Think that one says like 242 or something...
Bone Stock 6MT 2006 G35 Coupe in 5th Gear (Direct Drive) 4th Pull on DynoJET

Bone Stock 6MT 2005 G35 Coupe in 5th Gear 3 Pulls on DynaPack
Black Hamster If you have some time I'd try to the Dyno again with the stock headers and see how you do

As everyone always says- every machine is different, every run is different. The Dynojet I have had this done on has had around 225 hp on a stock 06' 6MT in the past. It wasn't my car, but it is where I will place the base line for my car on this machine. All you can really compare is your gains with your parts- everything else is just conjecture. Results will vary. A dyno is only a tool to show you an improvement on your car-it should not be used to compare to others. I will post my quarter mile times after I run on the 21st- those are numbers that matter!
(But I still prefer a nice road course to a drag... gotta' have turns!
)
I would love to- but I don't think I have all the stock parts anymore. I think it would take me about a week just to get this thing back to stock...
Any one in Vegas with a stock '06 MT coup willing to Dyno on this machine?
