Diamond Graphite?
Re: Diamond Graphite?
same thing happened on my order...mine was silver and had about 4 month wait....two weeks after I ordered mine the salesman called and said he would have one with all my options in DG...I wasnt interested at first went to the dealership and got the DG with no regrets...I like the silver but the DG is just a great choice all the way around...it shows the lines, doesnt blend in with all the other silver cars on the road, and hides dirt....

Re: Diamond Graphite?
I chose DG over BS, but those were the only colors I really wanted when I ordered mine. I like the new Twilight Blue, but it is a little too dark for me(shows too much dirt). I chose DG because it wasn't too dark and BS looks so similar to the silver on other cars. DG actually does a pretty good job at hiding dirt. It is very close to the color of water spots. DG is the exact same color as Silverstone on 350Zs(same paint code). DG is the most popular/highest production color followed by BS and then OB. I started realizing how popular it really is when I was at my dealer and 6 of the 12 coupes that just came in are DG. The only color that is being phased out is Caribbean Blue. CB is the least popular and as a result has the lowest production.

I was able to look at Silver and DG side by side at the dealer and liked Silver better. Its very much personal preference though and no one right answer. Just dont settle!! or it will bug ya!
Good luck with your choice!

Re: Diamond Graphite?
Well I don't think you can go wrong with either. They are very similar - basically lighter and darker variations. They are the two most popular colors on the G and both look great on the G..
I had the opposite experience of what a couple of others have mentioned. I wanted DG, but BS was on the lot equipped as I wanted, and I took it! That was last April when the cars were really hard to get and I didn't want to wait.
You are correct that DG doesn't sparkle as much as BS and DG can look a little dull at dusk. But that is minor.
The biggest negative with BS is that there are so many cars on the road that are silver; that is what would push me to DG if I were you and you are ordering.

Re: Diamond Graphite?
I wanted an ivory pearl with graphite initially (had an acura CLS in white/black previously), but when I saw a DG coupe in person for the first time, I was sold....for me it was the best color for the G coupe and that's why I own one now.

Re: Diamond Graphite?
I really loved DG when I got it, and it's still my favourite color. In addition Zaino makes the car look a lot shinnier and deeper.

Re: Diamond Graphite?
Thanks to all for their input. It forced me to go to the dealer today to see it in person.
When I got to the lot, 4 DG coupes had just been off-loaded, and were still carrying the white wrappers. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the color wasn't as dark as I thought. I then compared the DG against the BS, and while I liked the alloy-like finish that the lighter BS gave to the coupe, I also thought the DG did a good job of showing-off the contours of the car, at least in broad daylight. The color was certainly much better than how it appears in that photo from my initial post.
The other dilemma was in deciding whether I could live with the aero package, which came with the NAV-equipped, graphite interior coupe that was being offered. I always thought the rear end of the G35C was so well designed that anything extraneous would spoil it. Here again, I was surprised to find that it didn't look bad; actually, it looked pretty good with the DG. Just like the DG color, the spoiler gave the coupe some additional attitude. Still, I thought the silver looked best without the spoiler; a classic look for a classic color?
Well, after half-an-hour of back and forth, and staring from many different angles, I sprang for the DG. Aside from the fact that it is a very appealing color on the coupe, I was also swayed by the fact that my current driver is a G20t in, you guessed it, BS. It was time for a change. I must say, though, that both colors look great on the coupe, and had I waited another day, I may have come out in favor of the BS.
