Lucky i just got my set not to long ago and heard it was one of the last left. (Old pic)

 

Certain model year options for the IS300 came with black chrome emblems. Same with the previous generation of Camry that came with black emblems. Those were all factory emblems you're seeing. Of course the IS black chrome emblem looks much better than the black ones on the Camry.

He will be sending my emblems out to be black chromed shortly.

The process takes time and is not so cheap but it can definitely be done.

 

why does it cost so much money?

 

^ Not cheap when only doing a few pieces...the more pieces you have sent out to be black chromed the cheaper is going to be

 

its the process and time involved + you get
what you pay for

 

what does black chrome look like? and is this similar to black pearl link below shows a pic of a rear nissan emblem color " black pearl"

Black chrome = black pearl. I'd be surprised to find out that Lexus offered it as a factory option. I think the dealerships were offering that at their level. I could be wrong. I know I've seen them on various Lexus models more frequently than any other brand. If it gives you an idea of how much it costs, I take a loss at a price point of $50 per emblem (including the emblem itself). And I got better pricing because I sent more than 35 emblems in the first batch run.

no thats not black, black is darker than that and looks wayyy nicer

That is black chrome. BC is very difficult to photograph. They look much better in person.

 

Yeah, it is hard to photograph and give them justice. Lighting plays a big part. Much better looking in person like K67p67 said.
