Infiniti that is. Ok so I had my window regulator and a new motor put in cause my window broke. The first time they fixed it it broke within 24 hours and I needed a second window motor. Thats not what I'm mad at though the morons there dented my door from the inside out!! It looks horrible I dont have one ding on my car cause I park in Guam all the time and now I have one from the inside of the door. I'm gonna go nutz. I put a call in to a manager but they have to get back to me. I'll post a pic later if I get a chance. I dont know how they plan on fixing this one but it better be good. Ok I think I'm done venting, Man I'm Pissed!!

I talked to them and I was calm but the more I think about it the more pissed I get. I mean you know the guy that did it saw it when it happened and he what, thought I wouldn't notice. It should have been brought to my attention is what I'm saying. I mean I notice EVERYTING on my black car and I mean everything. This is not cool it better go away and look like It was never there. They want me to bring the car down next week and you can be pretty sure that I'll be there bright and early monday morning. It's such an Eye sore I cant look at the car without my eyes going right to that spot! Takes Deep Breath It's just a car, Wait no it's not it's a g35 Dammit!

 

Bad service bro. But it happens. They'll fix it up good as new, and you won't even know it was there.

my dealers service department hit something with the bottom of the front bumper, they had to repaint the whole thing. then they got over spray on the hood and roof, then when they took that off they got swirl marks. 4 visits later it was all good, and this was the second month i had the car. There is no such thing as a good dealer ship.

plus its been backed into in the front twice.

oh well....

oh yeah, also the last time the took my wheels off to do an alignment they nicked up my rims. My service lady said "this would happen anyway the first time you have the tires changed"

"This would happen anyway" That is such crap. It wouldn't happen if they were careful. I am running out of dealerships here on the Island. While it was there I mentioned the rear deck rattle cause it was driving me nutz and the service manager got pretty pissed that I wanted it fixed. He proceded to curse out the internet and say how he goes on FA and pretends not to be an infiniti servive manager and no one knows (like I give a crap) then he goes on about how Nissan should have never made a site like that, I didn't even know it was a nissan site but whatever. Of course I preceded to tell him that I am one of those people that posts problems on the internet looking for fixes and asked him what the hell is wrong with that. Told him I didn't appreciate my Infiniti sounding like the inside of the honda that I sold to make a downpayment. Finally he agreed to fix it and now it is so much better.

It just pisses me off that getting things fixed at the dealer has to be a battle sometimes. I mean they are'nt doing this work for free I assume so if it's a battle that they want I would think that it should be taken up with corporate not the consumer. When I write out that check every month I expect it to be for a good reason. And as far as him badmouthing this site and ones like it I think he is forgetting that these sites sell cars as well. I'm sure that they have sold a few anyway I mean I know I probably cant count the "sold my BMW for a g35" posts on both hands. Ok I'm through venting for now.

 

I also got the "internet makes people think they know something" speech. I was actually at the Nissan dealer and told them I wanted my brake proportioning valve checked because the nose was diving on our pathfinder. The head service tech goes off like a cheap bottle rocket on me.

When he gets done calling me an idiot (in front other people) because I dont have a proportioning valve, I held out my PDA with the ESM on it. While being berated, I opened acrobat reader and went to that page covering the brake master cylinder. There in bold letters was diagnosing the proportioning valve The 2wd does have one. He looked like a complete fool in front of his service manager. I got all kinds of apologies.. It was comedy gold.

I've gotten that cr*p from mechanics too that think they know everything and try to prove themselves right, and get annoyed any time they hear the words "so and so from this internet message board had the exact same problem and the problem was [something other than the mechanic claims]..." Fortunately, I have found a couple independent mechanics that actually listen to my side of the story without jumping down my throat, but they can be hard to find.

All i have to say is stay away from the dealership. I took my car in for a oil change, guess what happen to both of my side panel, it was stratch and they have to fix it. Then i took it in again to fix the rattle in the rear deck, guess what happen again they did something wrong and stratch my rim. boy was i pissed! Top of all that they did not even fix the rattle. Stay away from Southwest Infiniti in Houston
