Door Cup Holder??

Has anyone found a travel cup/thermos that fits in the door holder? I have an 06 coupe and I have been looking from day 1 for an insulated coffee cup that will fit in there without bending the door pocket out. I have a skinny Thermos brand one that almost fits.

I asked my dealer and they said it is intended for small water bottles. I like water but water bottles lead to condensation which would lead to water in my door pocket, that would suck!

Just thought I would ask.

Mike

the condensation will probably evaporate before it does any damage. i don't think you'll find a tall and skinny thermos the size of a 20 oz. water bottle. your best bet would be to put it in the rear seat cup holders. mine are right in the middle so it's easy access when i'm stopped to just reach back there. good luck though.

Oh no, waiting till I'm stopped is not an option!

I need my coffee on the way to work in the morning. This isn't going to kill me, it's just one of those things I thought MAYBE someone had found.

I had to buy a new coffee travel mug also. I bought a metal one from Starbucks for the center cup holder. The plastic ones were too big. I will try it in the door and let you know if it fits there. I usually put a napkin around my water bottle and put it in the door.

I just tried it in the door and it does work. It sits at a bit of an angle but it does fit.

Regular water bottles fit just fine. I almost always have 1 or 2 bottles in the car. Sometimes it's a little annoying too, because it rattles around a little when I've got the stereo turned way up.
