Fixing a bumper and replacing one virtually costs the same.. especially if you have two dents..
Any pics of them? If they are just minor scratches you can probably get them buffed, but if they require real labor.. most likeley you'll be replacing it.. i backed into someone and there was this dent that was going into my car..
Bodyshop quoted 750 for fixing and 800 for replacement.. since they would have to paint both times.. might as well go with the brand new bumper..

Here are the pictures...
According to the gentleman, there are no scratches...just the dents. Seeing how the bumper is not a metal, paintless dent removal is out of the question. I've got a local body shop that is painting a bumper for an employee for $250. That includes sanding, prepping, painting, and clearcoat... We'd proabably just go that route... What is your opinion on the dents? Thanks!

Here are the parts that make up the rear bumper assembly....

to me, it doesn't appear that you need a new bumper cover...you just need to repalce the energy absorber. it isn't expensive for the part, just the labor to install it.

Well I appreciate the responses. It looks like the car isn't going to be purchased anyways, as it has a salvage/rebuilt title, and my bank won't loan me the money for a rebuilt car... So, it looks like we're back to the drawing board. Anyone know of a G35 6mt with nav, and Brembo's for around $16,000

You should have expected that there was something major wrong with the car. I meant, a 6MT with nav for $16k? :-)
I fixed a dent on my rear bumper, but there wasn't any damage to the anything behind the bumper:

From the pictures you posted, it looks like they already pushed the dents out and that's as good as it's going to look. My dent was much smaller, so it looks almost as good as new...
