Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum and looking to buy a G35 coupe. I'm wondering if there are any specific years that are more desirable. For example, fewer bugs, better features, more horsepower, etc. From what I have found it looks like the 2005 has a redesigned dash which I am a fan of. Were there any big changes from 2005 to 2006-2007?

I'm still undecided on the transmission. I live in Southern California where bumper to bumper traffic is a common occurrence. I love driving stick in my '68 fastback but I'm not sure I want to be rowing gears in my daily driver. Will I be disappointed with the performance of the 5-speed automatic or is it pretty decent? If it were a 4-speed I would definitely go with the manual, but I have heard good things about the 5 and 6 speed automatics. I don't auto cross or road race, but I don't want to regret my decision.

I plan to do a lot of research on this site the next few weeks before making any decisions. Thanks in advance.

I'm not really impressed from the pictures I have seen, I might like it better in person.

 

me i say 05 i has all you need and the stuff you dont! one thing i like about the 06-07 is the headlights and fronts bumper (sport). 05+ have 298hp on the 6mt

 

i think i read once that the 03-04 was sportier than the 05-06 which is a little more luxurious.. depends wat u want, look into everything before u buy it though. Also, keep in mind 2003 was the first year it was made, so any problems they overlooked were corrected later on (04+). Thats just my opinion though and if you search everything on this forum im sure you will find all of your questions answered. good luck.
