Well, as some of you may recall, my car was keyed two weeks ago in the front of the shopping mall in Bay Area. I took it to be repaired by the Sunnyvale Auto Body Shop and the totla cost was around $1500. They repainted the front left fender, door and blended in the back panel. I picked up my car this afternoon and I was really impresed with the quality of work they have done. It is kind of cloudy today so I will have to wait for a sunny day to be able to see my car under sun light and check for any paint color difference. I hate the fact that I am out of $500 (deductible) but at least I can sleep better now knowing that the paint job went good... I hope something like this never happens to you guys but if I ever catch someone doing it, I swear I will beat the living %#&*! out of them....

 

It's good to hear that your car is in fine order again! I really can't imagine how screwed up a person has to be to do such a thing. It boggles my mind. This is the reason I'm gonna go out and spend a million $$$ on one of those alarms with the remote. This way...if ever my car meets up with some similar scum...they'll end up meeting my .45.

glad to hear that paint job went smooth.. hope that you won't have to go through that again.

that reminds me though.. my ex gf's car also got keyed while i was dating her. she had a black accord that time, and these ****** keyed all over the body, even broke side mirrors, and bent wipers(i have no idea how they did it). the car was less then a year old, and new paint job and repair cost her over $2000. it wasn't the first time her car got vandalized, so she moved soon after that incident. i had no luck in finding out who it was, but i had a serious doubt on one of my ex's..who knows..

whatever the reason is, i hate those sons of bitches who give absoultely no respect to other's properties. i can't even imagine the feeling if that ever happens to something i really care.. once again, good to hear that everything came out ok. peace out.

I usually park in the garage on Winchester side right next to the bridge to the 2nd level. Knock on wood, but I've never had problems there.

OUch.. 1500$ eh? 500 deductible.. thats what i have.. Im debating even getting the scratches removed... i got keyed.. couple of 6" lines on passenger side.. if you look up close.. or touch it you can tell its nice and deep.. but from even like 10' its not too bad at all.. ican hardly notice..

just would hate to burn 500 bucks and then worry again about some other jerk keying it.. ugh.. figure if its got one scratch maybe they wont bother? :P

 

i agree.. if that were to happen, i would really question whether to get it fixed.. on the one hand yes, it hurts to see it, but on the other, wha if it happened again (knock on wood).. man.. i dunno.. either way, glad you got wha you wanted done.. now your G is complete again

I'm getting my repainted front Ivory Pearl bumper back tomorrow and I know how you feel. Mine is not because of vandalism but paint chips. Having a new car repainted is still a bummer.
