programming Homelink question/problem?
programming Homelink question/problem?
i just programmed the Homelink and it works. now, we have 2-car garage with 2 seperate garage openers but only one of them works(whatever i program the last). is something wrong with my Homelink or thats how its supposed to work? cuz Acura TL-s also does the same thing.
The memory on your garage opener (the motor) may be full. Happened to me twice. Check out your manual or look for one online if you didn't already. Find out how to reset it. One thing though, everything will be erased (homelink on other vehicles, keychain garage opener, etc) so you will have to set everything again. Good luck.

2. Now hold down the button of your choice (whichever you want to program). While holding it, depress your garage door remote button. Aim it towards the rearview mirror. After 30 or so seconds, it should blink (rapid blink indicates successful programming)
If your garage has rolling codes, you need two people.
1. Follow step one as above
2. Have someone press the reset button (or equivalent) on your garage door opener, while you complete step 2 above
3. The garage door light usually flickers indicating it is being programmed.

Which button have you chose to program?
Did you reset everything first? You are choosing two separate buttons for two different garage doors right? (had to ask, not trying to insult your intelligence)
Try a different button when programming the second remote
mine works
but it could just be your actual garage door opener or maybe somehow the programming of the 2nd button didn't work, the only thing you can really do is try to program it again

Homelink isn't compatible with all openers. In fact, I think you're most likely to encounter compatability issues with Wayne Dalton openers (not all). It sucks having Homelink and still having to carry/use another opener.
Like it was stated earlier, when you set the code in the car, you have to reset the garage door opener too. When you reset the opener, you then have to go to the car and hold the programmed button until the opener learns the code from the car. I have mine for my garage door opener and my brother's gate to his house. Now I just need another thing to open for the third button.
