unfortunately, white is almost as bad as black for keeping appearances up.

my best piece of advice for keeping a white or black car clean is to invest in a California Duster. I dust either in the afternoon when returning from work, or in the morning before the comute. this will help keep particles from etching into your paint.

water marks on glass can be taken off with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. On paint, if they aren't too stuborn, you can polish them out. if they're deep down in the clear coat though, you're kinda screwed.

your black marks, i'm assuming, is just road grime or silicone from tire treatments. you can get an automotive de-greaser or bug-off and that should easily do the trick. just make sure it says that it won't strip wax/polish and won't hurt wheels. i'd cover the wheels when spraying it just to be safe.

hope this all helps!

yup...white is a bltch to take care of...first off, birds like to crap onto white cars..and bird urine is so hard to take off...I wash my car at LEAST once a week...I hate walking to my car and see bird crap on it...it drove me to go buying loads of rat poison and I have them at my house right now and I plan to drive around my neighborhood just spread them everywhere along with some sort of seeds to kill them birds off...

If you're talking about the black marks underneath your door/side skirts, they're probably from your shoes. You probably rub your shoes against the side when you get in and out...those can usually be rubbed off with wax or some kind of a solvent. Be very careful with the solvent though, that can strip your paint...

and I'd recommend claybar and apply a layer of wax on your car once every 3-6 months...

Quite the vindictive person, aren't you?
I wanna know something...did it work? Do you have dead birds in your yard now?

I haven't done it yet...I got the rat poison...I just need to make the rounds...I'm planning to do this around my work place too....

I'm just afraid that people around the area seeing dead bird might think it's West Nile and call for an investigation and they find out it was me and well...anyone know what the consequence is for killing birds???

You'll get in some trouble if you're caught. It's probably better to invest in a car cover.

from an OB owner. make sure to always keep a good coat of
sealent or wax on the finish. This really helps when removing
contaminants. If I get a bird dropping I'm spraying off with
water or a quick detailer

My neighbors are shocked how I keep my black cars. I always
tell them, "you don't know what goes on behind the scenes"

I don't know what I would do without my California duster. The best time to dust off your car is after it's totally cooled off. Also, make sure you have a really good wax or polish on there otherwise you will get fine scratches even though many think they won't. I noticed that with a few coats of Zaino on my car, the dust brushes right off and leaves no scratches at all.

Multiple coats of Zaino polish and sealer make it easy to clean. I also use Zaino's car wash. I dry with 100% cotton towels, no mixed blends. Right after a wash I give it a dose of Z-6 detailer spray.

For glass I use Stoner Invisible Glass.

For tires it's Stoner "More Shine Less Time"

The scuff marks on the rocker panel can be prevented by applying a strip of 3M Clear Bra material where your feet hit the panel. This way the marks are on the 3M and not the car's finish

The black marks could also be road tar. Try Windex with vinegar. It is absolutely amazing!

+1 on keeping a good coat of wax ...thats the best thing u could ever do

the wax doesnt let anything set in like bird shlt, dirt or pollen
soap takes wax off so...
because i keep a good coat of wax on it
when its dirty i just spray it with water & dry with microfiber cloth or leather shammy & it looks like I just waxed it
I only have to wash my car with soap once a month
sometimes if its really dirty I use meguilars quick detailer (I know i didnt spell it right)
Im a TB owner which is just like black but i also went thru this when i had a pearl white escalade

I love the color, unfortunately just like all of these colors,it takes work, and anyone here will tell you that. I'd say just about everyone here is in love with their car,or why else would they be here, having that said, I think everyone is just as picky about when their car is clean and isn't. You know, because you probably look at every inch of the car,how can you not? The ip and ob seem to be one of the hardest, and that reminds me, I have to wash my car tomorrow.
