Re: g35 v e46 m3

if you can tell the difference b/w s series and m3 good for you but majority people on the road include me can't tell the difference just by looking at front bumper, or when just flew by me...and the way you figuring out b/w m3 and 3 seires what everyone does... in fact of course everyone can tell the difference when m3 is right next to you cuz you see fancy M3 emblem on the side and on the back of course you will see dual exhasut and another m3 emblem... my cousin has 2002 330ci... but he still can't tell m3 or 3 seires quickly just lookin at them from distance... he usually say 03 or even 04 330ci instead of m3...

Re: g35 v e46 m3

lotta ppl can tell the difference between them... M3 is more wider... front bumper is REALLY different from a 330ci... the rear... M3 has dual exhaust... and there are alot more... if u look at them side by side... u can see that 330CI is more slick looking and the M3 looks more... beefed up? haha

maybe the reason some ppl can tell the difference between them is that... they "studied" the car (M3)...

I think most of the people in this forum can differentiate the M3 from a 3-series, but can the rest?

Re: g35 v e46 m3

Yeaaaaa, Why do I want to burn my $55K on a car that is not exclusive. The G-coupe is a SUPER DAMN AWESOME VALUE, YOU GET LOOKS, POWER, PERFORMANCE, AND FEWER LOOK ALIKES UNLIKE THE M3 WITH THE 323I, 323CI, 325i, 325Ci, 328i, 328Ci, 330i AND THE 330CI.

ALSO MANY ARE SAYING FOR 10K MORE THEY CAN BUY A DAMN M3, THEN BUY IT. TO STOP THIS COULD OF AND SHOULD OF PAY 10K MORE FOR A M3 BULLSH*T WHY NOT USE THE OTHER HALF OF THEIR BRAIN AND BUY A 2000 PORSCHE 911 WITH AERO KIT AND BE A REAL BAD$SS. RESPECT GOES TO PORSCHES NOT THE OVER SATURATED 3 SERIES INCLUDING THE M3, "CASE CLOSE"

I MUST BE ON SOME SH*T TONIGHT.

Re: g35 v e46 m3

Why are so many people concerned with what other people on the road think about their cars? Why does it matter whether every person who looks at your car can tell if it's an M3 or not? I buy a car for ME, not for other people's ease of identification. If it performs well, looks good, and I can afford it, then I don't care about what the ignorant think. Most people aren't really into cars, so they wouldn't even be impressed if you explained what the M3 was all about. Most people just say "Why would you want to go that fast?".

Re: g35 v e46 m3

No offense, but I think its pretty silly to sit here and say "well, for the price difference you could build a faster car." that's not what the guy asked. If we were looking to build rocket ships, I don't think a single person in this thread would select an E46 M3 or a G35 Coupe as their platform. [censored], you can buy an SRT-4 for $20k and run with a G35Coupe. I've put less than $1k into my car and I can run with a G35 Coupe.

However, I would take a G35 over my car or an SRT-4 any day of the week. A WRX can be made faster, and STI is less expensive, as is an Evo - and the Cobra will wax the hell out of any of these cars.

If you can afford the M3, then you need to really just look at the positives and negatives of both cars and go from there. IMO, the G35 still stands out more in traffic. The M3 is stunning, but most people don't really know the difference between the M and the regular 3 series. So its mildly discrete like that.

The M3 pretty much will own the G35 in the straights, but I'm sure its pretty even in the twisties overall.

Did you know that BMW is now taking orders for '04 330Ci with the same bumper as the M3? Yup, that's right... first the 330i had the M3 front bumper as part of the performance package, and now the 330Ci does as well.

It will now be even harder to differentiate between a 330Ci and an M3 from the front.

No, I don't think so..... BMW would be crazy to start putting that stuff on a 330Ci. It's bad enough they're putting the M3 bumper on...
