Nice to have info from a loan officer! Two questions if you don't mind:
If you owe, say, 4250 on a credit card with a limit of 6500 and you can't pay it off would it help your credit to request a limit increase to 9000....not to use....but just so that your ballence is under 50% of your limit?
The other question: if you continuousely open up a new credit card account (say, every 9 months) to transfer a ballence in order to keep your ballence at a 0% promo apr in order to pay it off quicker is that a really bad thing? I know it's not great but I really hate paying interest that I don't have to...

Purely off the top of my head, I'd say pay off the balance on the card before taking on any more debt (ie. buying a new car). Don't get caught with your pants down... if you lost your job, could you live for a year the way you currently do without incurring more debt?
