hi,
i have a 05 coupe 6mt, i've bought this used about 6 months ago.
since i've bought it there was... and still is a vibration on the clutch at point of engagement between the plates.

and also when i shift at rpm above 5000... there's a humming noise when the clutch is stepped on...

anyone have any similar issue?? or know the cause of it?? any input would be appreciated .

yip... it's normal... errr.. i should say that infiniti claims it's normal. the howling i think is due to the dual mass fly plate... the clutch chatter... i have no clue. if u look up clutch chatter on the internet or ask any transmission techie... they all say that it's bad... it equates to either oil on the discs or warping. but infiniti claims that it's normal. some of my starts are so rough... that it almost feels like my car is hoping up and down. it's probably the worst aspect of this car... for me anyways.

 

ohh i see... i'm not mechanically inclined... i thought i had to replace my whole clutch system... well i'm glad to hear that it's "normal" -*clears throat*
