My wife found this after leaving a business meeting at the VA last Fri. No note, hit and run. Large parking lot with plenty of space. Dishonest people irritate me! I checked with security, but their video system didn't pick anything up. So now I'm out a 500 smaker deduct due to no fault of my own.

It was hit and run, shouldn't insurance cover that since your not at fault???

Unless he's uninsured (gasp). But seriously, that's really screwed up that anyone just hit and run your car. I know that I would be really furious. I'm a little worried that someone will mess with my car in the school parking lot next year (senior year woohoo). Someone put some "foreign matter" on my friend's IS350 (at least that's what we believe) and she was very angry. Kids these days...

No backbone.....aka *****!
It's a shame we can't have something nice without some ingrate messing
it up. There was a similar incident posted a week ago the lady left a note
but it just said "Sorry!" I'm sure in this case there were witnesses and they
thought she was doing the right thing......yea right. Regardless if it's hit-
and run or no fault it's still going to cost you the $500= Sorry, no I mean it!

^simple solution... never bring your nice car to school

School parking lots = compact parking slots full of careless students with backpacks full of goodies

Forgot to include the pic, in the original post.

I talked with my insurance, they say since it's hit & run (in OH) and my uninsured rider only covers medical, then my collision covers it. So I have to pay the deductable. Does anyone else's insurance policy work like this?

There has been several very nice cars in the parking lot before with no problems (thankfully). My friend Christina has a 2006 M3 convertible that no one dares to touch. Also have another friend who has a BMW 5-series. I really don't like either, but yeah, I really hope no ****** dare mess with my car. The worse thing that people really do to each other's cars is write messages or draw symbols (like penises--so cliche, cant those idiots think of something new??) when they get dirty. I live in the desert so cars get really dusty and dirty here pretty quickly.

Dude, exact same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago, same location on the car too... Mine was about the size of a soccer ball though...

Insurance place would pay for it, but I have a $500 deductible so I just said screw it and popped it back out... You can still notice it but it's not as bad...

But, people who hit cars and just leave suck and need to die.

I would pop it out, but the paint is messed up and there are a couple deep gouges that would still be visible.
So, I think I will have a professional fix it and have a few other dings taken care of at the same time. I have a really nice door ding in the back fender that needs some TLC and the front bumper cover is chipped to h@ll. Might have that repainted too. Depends on cost. BTW, where do you all get the clear bra for the front?
