Wow, G-coupe really loosen up after B-in period.
Wow, G-coupe really loosen up after B-in period.
I did not believe it because my brother has a 4 doors and his auto trans snaps off every gear so smoothly and his sedan really feels fast and is ready to go. Well, I only have 2K on my G-coupe and my auto trans really shifts rough and are hesitant to go into the next gear. Then, last week I took a long trip to Vegas and really let loose my G. Well, all I can say now is that for some reason after this long and wonderful drive to vegas, my g-coupe really loosen up. It now really drives amazing, snaping off every gear and smoothly and precisely. I'm really happy now. So, for those that are going through their break-ins, don't worry, your G-coupe will really fly after this break in period. Peace.
Re: Wow, G-coupe really loosen up after B-in period.
long drives are always nice for a good break in. Did you change the oil yet? The car should feel a lot smoother after that as well. Just make sure you don't use pure synthetic for a while.

The long drive probably changed some of the aglorithms in your ECU.

"Why what will happen if you use synthetic oil?"
It's best not to use synthetic oil on a new engine for the first 10K miles. The reason for this is the metal parts are still new and dyno oil helps bond to metal at a molecular level from heat and expansion. This will give a nice pretty permenent coat on all parts. Once this is acheived, then it's a go ahead on the synthetic oil.
Oh yeah one more thing about oil, is the oil filter. Stay away from FRAM oil filters. FRAM just straight out sucks a$$. This will also determine between 100K mile car and 200K mile car. One good oil filter is Mobile1, use the M110 model, it's bigger and it fits. There are a couple other oil filters that are good and of course better then FRAM.
- Don't argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.=P-
