Sunroof

Hi, I just got a '04 G35 coupe, but it doesn't have a sunroof. It has 18in wheels, brembo brakes, leather, heated seats, bose sound, NO Navi. I'm told that ALL models should come with a sunroof standard. Should I be worried???

Not all coupes came with a sunroof, but if you have the bose system, then you should have the premium package that comes with the sunroof, are you sure you have the bose system?

^ Not necessarily...The 2004 model offered the "Bose Audio System" package vs the premium package, which you are referring to. Sorry g35280...previous owner only got the Bose pkg.

Yea it seems only the 03' and 04' offered the Bose, not 05' and up. I would regret not getting the sunroof. California weather!!

sunroof

thanks for the input guys. Is it too much to add a sunroof, or does that ruin the vehicle? Anyone know how much it is?

some people on the z forum have added a sunroof. imo, it's not going to be anything like OEM.

sorry to say, but i think if a sunroof is so important to you that you should have made sure the car had one before you got it.

Yup

I agree. I didn't think it through when i bought it. I though i wouldn't mind, but it would be nice to have one. Prob. not worth getting.

thanks again for the info all.

i would sacrifice my sunroof for the extra 2 inches of headroom so that i dont have to drive laying down lol. i have a very broad/tall upper body, shorter legs. wish it was the opposite with the way this car is built :-p

Your best bet is to ask the dealership for their recommendation for this. I was quoted about $2k to cut a sunroof in my accord. Try asking a bodyshop for their recommendation.

You could get a cheap one that only pops up in the back and does not fully retract for only a few hundred bucks. IMO don't get a sunroof put in period, I've never seen it done right, don't waste your time and just spend the money on some rims.
