Turning Radius Sucks

Turning Radius Sucks
Is the turning radius as crappy on all coupes as it is on mine? My mom has an FX35 which can make a u-turn on my street easily whereas my coupe cannot. My car only allows 1.5 turns lock-to-lock, which seems low to me. Previous G35 sedans I've driven were able to make the turn in the same street as well. Is the turning radius supposed to be so poor or is there something wrong with my car?

Radius is around 36-37 ft on the '04 (unless you use the popular clutch drop method, which is much more interesting). It's not great but not terrible, either.
For comparison I believe BMW's 335i is closer to 39 ft, and so are a lot of other performance cars.
The sedan I drove in 04 was about the same turning circle, no surprise with both having about 112 inch wheelbase.
Test drove a new G35S 2007 Sedan, one of the first things I noticed was smaller radius, checked it out and it is smaller than my '04 coupe - 3 feet less. Sharper turn-in, too. I over-turned and had to correct entering a corner at speed, expected slower turning. No Four Wheel Active Steering, either.
Coupe vs. Sedan of same year my guess is you're not coming as close to the side you start with because it's harder to see.
