Need Help!!! Please!

I took my car to Infiniti today because it was acting up with the VDC and Slip...they said i need a new "Clock Spring" which apparently goes behind the steering wheel. The part itself is $150+ but they want to charge me almost $700 for everything because of labor and an alignment. Anyone know where i can get a clock spring and who can possibly install it because i can NOT afford $700 right now! PLEASE HELP!

Don't know what a "clock spring" is but for that kind of money you could buy the refrence books and try it yourself.

Seriously...only an 06' and dealer wants you to fork out the cash? Screw that and try another dealer.

Well it would be under warranty except they found out i had test pipes on the car and are blaming it on that. When they were removed (had to take them off for emissions) the streering shaft must be removed in order to get to the test pipe/catalytic converter. So they're blaming it on that and its considered damage to the vehicle because it wasnt done with infiniti. So...now im going to sell my test pipes because there's no way im going through that again. I found the part online for $100, so i bought that. And i have a friend who used to work at an Acura dealership and he's going to install it for $100. Anyone want my test pipes (UTR Resonated Test Pipes)? Less than 8 months old...but the color of them got a little nasty because of the snow we had here. But they're in perfect working condition and are bad a$$! Sounded so great that im depressed that i have to get rid of them now.
