VPP question

I am looking at purchasing a loaded coupe 6mt from grubbs with the vpp pricing. The MSRP is 38505 and I need to know what the VPP price is so they don't try to take me for a ride....I know it is grubbs but I still don't trust dealers, especially when they are 1500 miles away. Thanks for the help.

Re: VPP question

Grubbs was very straight with me.
Depending on the manufacturer it differs. By this I mean some have % rates discounts, while others is the invoice price. While I got my Coupe from a local dealer, I would have bought from Grubbs if I could have sold my Sedan privately (Carmax did offer a fair price).
Usually with VPP you get Invoice minus and dealer incentives, fees or rebates.

Re: VPP question

My Brothers dealing with Grubbs right now, it was about 600 over invoice. Or about 3000 off after taxes. Two things!!! You have to be a Freshalloy member before Jan 1 '04 and you have to do it before the end of Jan. They are very very nice, from what I've heard!!! Don't worry get a quote and get on it, people will tell you if they are taking you for "a ride."

Re: VPP question

The VPP price is set by Nissan (Infiniti), not by the Dealer. It is a very straight forward form that they fill out. They will send you a copy of the form with the contract paperwork. At that point, if you don't believe the form, then don't sign.

With that list price, the VPP price will be around $35,350, give or take a few. It depends on the actual configuration, and works out to 500-800 over invoice.

Re: VPP question

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to talk to them tomorrow and hopefully have a new car in a couple weeks. Too bad it is so cold that the hudson river is frozen solid outside my window. Maybe winter will end soon............

Also, this g35driver is the best! I have learned so much about this vehicle from all of the members.

Re: VPP question

The others are correct; Infiniti sets the price, and the dealer has no control over that aspect of the transaction.

My G35c had a MSRP of $37,865 (including destination charge of $545), and an invoice value (excluding destination charges) of $33,659. They discount 1.65% off of the invoice, add the dealer delivery fee, add back the destination charges (always applicable) and marketing assessment of $400 (this may or may not apply depending on the region), for a net amount of $34,876; about a $3k savings off of sticker.
