Oh yeah ditto on the paint too. When I got mine I hadn't heard much about the clear bra but I sorely wish I had searched more for it. The paint on this car though beautiful is pathetically brittle. I have had mine for a year as a daily driver and I now have almost as many chips on the front as my old civic had after almost five yours of daily driving on california freeways. I would hate to see what some of the poor guys with Black are having to deal with in states with real winters. Peace.

I've got black. Thank goodness I'm in the South. Same story. I had a black 3000GT and my G's paint seems to be chipping at 3-4 times the rate my '93 Mitsu did.

I forgot to mention 2-3 trips to the dealer to fix the window streak issue.

 

I HAVE MANY PROBLEMS.. JUST TOO LAZY TO GE THEM FIXED.. AND IF ANYBODY HAS HAD MY PROBLEMS AND GOT THEM FIXED BY INFINITI.. PM AND TELL ME PLEASE

1- Window rattling
2- Alignment off
3- I get these clicking noises when I put my car in D, or R, or N.. basically whenever I change gear
4- Car gets dirtyy fasssttt ( Twice as worse for me since its black)
5- Driver seat squeeks while driving randomly
6- Cant think of it.. but there is a 6th one

7- I still love my car though.. : )

Since I don't see many with no problems, I thought I'd better pipe up and say something. I've got a 04 with a build date of Aug 03 and about 1800 miles since a Dec 16th, 03 delivery. I've had/have absolutely no problems of any type so far (raps knuckles sharply against noggin). The shift is a bit notchy but I would expect that in a new car.

I just wanted to partially represent those of us that arn't having any issues. Anyone else not having any problems?

Mine is a May '03 build. Only 1 minor problem: had the rear parcel shelf rattle issue. The dealer performed the TSB on it, and its fixed. No other problems to report.

It was a slight rattle coming from the right rear area of the interior. It was a plastic rattle sound that only showed up at highway speeds over certain kinds of rough road surfaces, or bumps in the road. It was a minor rattle, but just enough to annoy me. It did it from the day I picked it up new. There is a technical service bulletin (TSB) for the rattle, and a kit for dealers to fix it if customers report a rattle back there. Its the area below the rear window and behind the rear seats where the rear speakers are mounted. Something in that thing can rattle, and the kit installs some insulation there. It's a 2 hour job for the dealer to install though. But, it fixed mine.

My windows rattle, my sunroof rattles, and the passenger seat rattles. The dealership has not been able to fix my window successfully, it has made streak marks on my tint. I have contacted Infiniti consumer affairs.

 

So far so good. I've got an 04 and have about 6k miles on it. The only problem has been a small trunk leak where rain came in. Nothing else at all to complain about.

 

Only things that have been fixed on my G Coupe are

1. Rear Parcel Shelf Rattle (Fixed myself, but then got Service to fix it)
2. Alignment upon arrival
3. Drivers Window Rattle
4. Window grease streak.

Nothing major. Late March 03 build

Have my 04 Coupe for 5 months now. I am quite particular. So far, not one problem to speak of.(other than the weak paint) No rattles, no streaks, no vibrating rear view mirror, no rocking seat. Knock on wood!

i have an 03 g with 59k miles and recently experience problems with the lower control arms. should be just the bushings. and i can't seem to get at least 20mpg.
