Vibration is normal in the 6-speed trannies. You're fine.

If i'm not mistaken the reason for the slight vibration is because of the rear-wheel drive set up. Because the gear shift is directly mounted on the transmission, it receives some of the vibration naturally given off of the transmission itself.

In a front-wheel drive set up (most cases), the gear shift is not directly mounted on the transmission, therefore allowing it not to see vibration.

Hope it helps.

Yes. You are holding a gear stick that is connected directly to 280hp about 8 inches below where you are gripping. It's natural that there be some vibration.

I'm pratically a noob myself but yeah, the vibration is normal.

Some possible stuff you should expect in the near future,

..tire rumble/feathering noise
...automatic up window malfunction
....bose has an appetite for CD's
.....creaking/squeaking driver's seat
......front bumper paint nicks

that's it for now, i don't want to list them all and ruin the fun for you

trust me, you can't stay mad at it

its normal to have vibration because your directly connected with the drive train...in other words there arnt any pulleys there. This is not a bad thing, its just the way Infiniti went about the transmissions.

Hmm.. I thought most manual cars' stick rattled to some extent.. I know my friend's Ranger's stick rattles like a bitch.. but then again maybe that's just because it's old.
