Dude, the STI smokes the G all day. Even the S2k... Remeber the classic vid of the s2k smoking a G? The G has a v6, 90more HP to the crank.

S2k beats its from a dead stop, 10mph roll, 20mph roll and even a 50mph roll where I thought the G would own the S2k..

The G is not a fast car. Look at any track videos.. The G's are pigs on the tracks, especially from a dead stop.....

I've been to Irwindale and its a 1/8 mile track.. The supercharge Black G that I saw running, lost to a honda civic.. HOW SAD IS THAT? Not only that, the G sounded like it was CRYING. wtf?

And according to the site on the 1st page.. 10-12K is not normal. Especially with its wearing out from the inside and feathering on the other side.

Have you experienced abnormal tire wear on your Nissan 350z? Do your tires show signs of feathering or cupping? Have you had one or more sets of tires replaced on your 350z? Are you suffering from excessive tire noise? You are not alone. Message boards are filled with 1000's of posts from 350z owners across the country reporting problems with their tires. In some cases, consumers are reportedly going through three sets of tires within 12,000 - 14,000 miles!

If the tires wears out evenly, then thats acceptable, it is the tire thiat is bad.. But if it's showing sign of uneven wear, then thats the sign of a crappy suspension/alignment....

And how has the time/money to spend 1200 every 10k miles on tire?

I mean, the same people are biotching about the $300 15k miles serice..

I'm willing to pay $300 for the 15k service... But for something such as tires? Which should last for more then 20k... Cmon man.

STI doesn't SMOKE a G, but I'm sure it'll rarely lose to a G stock vs stock. As for the S2k, they have pretty much the same track times as us, it just comes down to whoever is a better driver. Don't rely on a single youtube video to show which car is faster, now what kind of idiot would do that?

I'm sure that there are civics that can beat z06 corvettes if modified enough, so a G losing to a civic is no big deal. As for the crying sound, I'm sure if he went up to you on the street and floored it, it would scare the **** out of you and make you jump in your seat. I GUARANTEE that much.

I'm almost 100000% sure I said my daily driver SUV

Which would be my Jeep SRT8 GC

And you bought a sporty coupe that is fast, and responds pretty well to mods too.

Go sell it, you seem like a *****, I'm sure nobody wants to hear you bitch and moan about tires every few months when you decide to bring this pointless thread back up.

Take your pick, they'd both embarass an STi-- the jeep is stock to =(

If you look at your wheels, you can see the camber is way off. This isn't normal. Tires wearing out from the inside, isn't normal.

You can be happy all you want wasting 1200 for tires. Take a good look at the 350z forums, seems like they aren't happy replacing tires at 12000 miles.

And theres a site that agrees with them and it looks like something is being done. So, when the G35 gets the same "recall" and gets a new camber kit for free and free alignment, your biotch azz better stay home and be happy at replacing your tires ever 8k miles.

And soft tires is no excuse, my cousin's STI with the "soft tires" has about 20k and his tires still looks good. Not only that, he can also smoke our fat G's with no problem.
Those cars are all wheel drive and probably do not have a negative camber set up like the Gs and Zs. Actually tire wear from the inside is normal on these cars considering they come with a negative camber from the factory for cornering abilities. You baught a sports car that requires expense, deal with it. Go buy a porsche and then we will hear you complain about going through tires.

That "famous video" is between a stock g35 and a modded s2000 Maybe the fact that the G is stock and the s2000 is modded OMFG NO WAY!!! BTW the s2000 had an intake and exhaust and wasn't "smoking" the G.

For those that think the g35 is faster than a STI both stock

Maybe an even race in the top end, but from a dig...forget about it

hahaha. WOW. the s2k has a freaking intake and exhaust.. those stupid mods don't do shlt.. give you what? 10 extra hp? the s2k has 230hp... The G has 290..... The G also has a v6 while the s2k is an inline four.....

And I didn't buy this car because it was fast or i wanted to race... I am over that phaze... I just bought it for the looks. And I didn't buy it to rice it out either. It's bone stock.

Check out www.dragtimes.com. The sti track times are lower then the G35 track times... The G35 aren't know for going fast.. Everyone knows that. Going straight belongs to the STI, S2k etc... G may do ok on the road.. But on a straight line? hahahha. Show me one track vid of a G actually winning a race.

And yes, I would support a recall on the tires/suspension on the G35.. Everyone else here seems to say its normal... IT NOT NORMAL when the tires are cupping, feathering, and making some loud azz noise with only 10k miles on the tires. Under normal driving condition.

I mean, if you're driving like a dumbazz and racing it all the times, then thats on you. But if you do normal daily driving to work and home and the tires starts to fade on you at 12k... That's not normal.. And the People at 350z are getting their recall so why not us?

LMAO - kid you are stupid. The g35 also weighs in at 3450 pounds the s2000 weighs in at 2750 hmmm if i do my math right that is 700 pounds lighter to the s2000. Not only did you say the s2000 is ment to go fast, but you said the g35 is ment to go on the road. Well my friend LMAO at you - the s2000 is not made to go in a straight line. Its made for a road course. Now if we take the intake and exhaust off the s2000 it should beat the g35 to 60, by half nearly half a second, but the g35 will beat it down the 1/4 mile by a half second. So the gearing gives the advantage to the g35 up top

On paper, yes it should give the G35 the upperhand once the G gets going. Yet the Youtube vid shows the G getting smoked by a couple car lengths.

And please do some reseach b4 you open your month again. Take a look at www.dragtimes.com. The s2k cleary has the better 1/4 times.

And yes, the G weighs more. Which proves what I have been saying. It wasn't made to go fast. And in fact is a PIG on the tracks.

FYI...i squeezed out 33k on my 19's. The rear right tire didn't start to feather til 28k, and that was after an alignment and balance from the dealer. If the dealer did a proper job, I could've ran the tires for another 10k.

thats good to hear. that should be the normal thread life of the tires. not 10k like the guys in this forums are saying. i guess i will take my car back in to get an alignment and also check on the popping noises.

you bought a luxury/sports car, stop bitching about tire wear. You cant expect to get 20k miles out of your tires. Go get some Bridgestone RE960's and an alignment. They have a 40k mile tread wear warranty and i can guarantee your alignment is out if you're only getting 8k out of your tires. Have the shop max out your rear positive camber and you'll get 30k out of the RE960's
