Cant it be done and look right? I have an OB coupe and with the amount of rock chips after 22k only getting worse with the friggin winter would getting the hood resprayed look ok after it is done? I plan on putting a kit on in the spring and a freshly painted bumper probably won't look right with a chipped up hood above it. Does any one with bodyshop experiance know if this is the way to go? I want it to look nice and match everything and not cost an arm and a leg at the same time. I'm probably asking too much but I figure it's worth a try. Thanx In Advance.

 

i was going throught the same problem u are not to long ago. my car had rock chips on the front bumper and on the hood. so i have a friend thats a very experienced in body shop work, and i had him spray my car for me. to make a long story short it turned out great and my car is in the garage, where it will stay till spring comes and they clean up the road. My advice to you is that ,Yes, it can be done and still look great, depending on the experience of the body shop person. Make sure they buff there work out. I think thats the key to it. so that the color blends. Good luck buddy

 

I got the clearbra installed on mine before i left california for new york and florida... no rock chips and all bug splatter came off with a simple wipe...

I say that you should invest in it.. i paid almost 800 for the whole hood wrap, bumper, custom front spoiler, head lights, rear view mirrors and door handle cups....

Yeah If and when I get the hood resprayed I want to get the clear bra for it. Here's a question though, when I get teh custom front bumper done can that get a clear bra too? I know that most kits are pre cut and I highly doubt that there is a precut impul bumper kit so can that be covered as well?
