Rear Active Steer: How Does it Work ?

I'll be picking up my 06 MT with RAS next week. How does it work ? I've searched here and on Infiniti's site with no success.
Thanks.

Drive a car w/o one you can feel the difference. Basically at higer speed, when you do a lane change or take a tight corner, the rear wheel is turned a couple of degrees by a motor to assist you in the smooth turning.

Check out the video here.

See how unstable the car w/o RAS look at fast lane changes.

Watch the video for a better explanation.

Yeah, people w/o ras...

The older Nissan Skyline RAS.. And look at how they do in the "drifting world".

Watch the video posted above.. Which one looks more "unstable" at higher speed?

Thats just done to show the difference it makes. Just drive a car with one, you can feel the difference on a simple lane change at 20-30 mph.

Bascailly, w/o RAS, you car may feel like a rocking boat.

On the road course RAS will help out a lot and its a lot of fun when you can feel that much of a difference.

Thanks man! I never understood what it was about. Looks great! Wish I had it...but then again, it's always more fun to slide the rear end out. heheh

The Only Car Which I Think Ras Steer Should Come With Is A Car That Costa About 100000 Because They Can Spend The Proper Money To Make The System, Right, Like The Old Hikas System Sucked, So They Stoped It For Ten Years Or So, Its A Good Idea, But Takes Away The Fun, Also If Corvette Doesnt Have It, Or Ferrari, It Might Not Be A Great Idea. The Only Car That I Know Had It Was The 8 Series Bimmer, And This Was Only Available On The Car Was Suppose To Be Ahead Of Its Time. And That Was A 90000 Dollar Car In The 80's So Do The Math.

But If You Got It Enjoy It.
