03 Coupe

Hey, I am looking to get a G35 coupe. I love them ever since my brother got one. He has an 05. I saw a 03 coupe for $16,000 but it has 100,000 miles. Is it worth it? I am on a budget figuring I am 16 and want to put a Pioneer and DD kit in it and swap out speakers. Also maybe put a TT kit on. But thats in about 2 years.

So should I spend the $16,000 on an 03 or an 04 for $20,000. Again I am on a budget. I would only drive about 7,000 miles a year. i plan on having it 5 years.
Thanks!

Im guessing that. My moms jeep is an 05 and only has 16,000 miles on it. Plus I would only drive to and from school, I get a ride out to friends houses most times because i dont do the big no no, if you know what I mean. Drink and drive, That is not me. So 7,000 miles a year sounds right, plus my dad takes me to work since i work for him.

Also do you have to use premium gas? or could you use the mid grade? NOT regular.

Thanks!

bro, it's very nice to have a g35 specially for your age but maintenace is a little heavy for a 16 year old. try some 4 bangers and learn from it for now. learn the variable timing, then the force induction and you will surely appreciate what it means to have a higher hp car. when you turn 20 you will see alot of used G37 and 335i. so save up....

Where did you find that, G35 engine will last 250k miles? I'm curious because I'm sure it's hard enough to even find one with that many miles already let alone enough of them to determine the lifetime of a G engine.

tthe motor will only last for 150, till it needs a major tune up, god forbid the motor was ever abused, and didnt have frewuent oil changes, it will last alot less. i would suggest get a brembo 04 car, for a little more, by the way finance the car, so you can get a better car, and it will only cost you a smaller monthly payment.

Yea, Im leaning towrds the 04. Trust me, I will appreciate it because a. my mom drives crappy cars, b. I'm paying for it(not my parents), and c. I love anything with a motor. I think the 04 only has some 50,000 miles on it if that. Anything else I should know? How much do you spend per week on gas? I just dont want to buy it and have it sit on the street for show. I buy cars on how they drive not look.
Thanks!
