clear corner problem?

has anyone other than me noticed the clear corners do not seem to fit as snug as the stock pcs....I've had mine installed about 2 weeks now and I'm noticing that my drivers side corner seems to pop out slightly over time....I do not drive to many ripped up roads so I don't think its being jarred loose...any feedback would be great.....thanks 2old4this

Re: clear corner problem?

I have my set installed now for about a month. I do drive on some really bad roads at times (hazard that comes along with living in NYC). They have not pop loose to date. I have the JDM pieces.

Re: clear corner problem?

Mine seem to pop out very slightly too. But so far not enough to notice, and more importantly no moisture inside.

Re: clear corner problem?

I've had mine in for a month now & haven't noticed it. But I don't drive my car into work (DC), where the roads are horrible.

Re: clear corner problem?

yeh.. the clear corner definitely does not fit in as "snug" as the stock corner, but i have not had it pop out or anything like that..

Re: clear corner problem?

Thanks everyone....I figured it was just my bad luck that I got a defective one...
anyway when the weather breaks here in Jersey I'm planning to install some new fog/high beams and clearance lights so I'll take a look at the set up from the inside of the wheel well and see if theres anything to fix it....May be ducatiguy's install of the locking tabs is not a bad idea at all!!!!! good looking out everybody2old4this

Re: clear corner problem?

Not me - mine fit exactly the same as the orange ones, which is to say fine. Snug, whatever.

Re: clear corner problem?

No problems with the clear corners on my coupe, but I know another G coupe owner who came out of Home Depot to find his corner light hanging loose. He did the zip tie fix and now it stays secured.

Re: clear corner problem?

who knows...maybe someone already tried to pull them off my car or I could have bent the clip when I did the install....It doesn't take much to pop them in though....I just have to compare them to my originals and see whats up...thanks again everybody..2old4this

Re: clear corner problem?

I've had this problem too. and I managed to fix it by just slightly bending that metal clip outwards. now it sits nice and snug.

just look at the clip and figure out how it clips onto the bumper. bend the clip outwards a little.
