An LED array would have been much cleaner, not feeling it at all.

Yea I changed the Domelights to the 9 Leds too. I just installed them bec they were leftovers, from my headlight CCFL clearence strip install. It was easy and free...No point in spending more money on the LEDs when theres no real point on doing it. I only turn them on when i need to find something..I sometimes find it somewhat useful..it doesnt hurt to have some light when you need it.

Really? Thats I dont think so CCFL lights are really bright. I was using a sorry camera. It looks brighter in person. Leds are still ok but you would have to do more work to do an install as a domelight. With the CCFL its just pretty much plug and play... I find it cheapers..... as well as LEDS are more like spot lights...the CCFLs are more evenly spread out light.

There is no wiring for the LEDS...its bought off ebay and they are just plug in play...you pull out yours and stick these in.

CCFL's are way brighter than LEDs in comparison. As Steveo has mentioned, LEDs will give you a spot light effect and CCFL's will spread the light out evenly.

If you think LED's are bright in your license plate area, you should try putting a 12" ccfl in there.

https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...t=88192&page=2 (scroll down a bit and you'll see my license plate light) Notice how the light is spread out more evenly.

Good job Steveo. The stock lighting in the G isn't that great. My only complaint would be the same as Ahero's....location location location.

I know it's hard to conceal a 12" ccfl tube though. Maybe try two 4" tubes. That should be plenty bright.

i dont deny that at all but inside the dome lights inside the g35 the way the dome light is when the lights shines through its dispursed everywhere....my LED's light up the whole interior on my car when i open the door......PLus you have to consider willow or black interior.....black wont be as bright where as willow is fairly bright.
