Sometimes my car clicks to when shifting. It sounds like two pieces of metal clicking together. It comes right from the shifter. I also get that rumble sound from under the car. It is [faint] and sounds like it is coming from the clutch. I think it is a result of INFINITI'S clutch type. Something, I read a ways back about a double mass fly wheel they used which causes some of our unusual sounds and shifting noises/issues. Search Clutch Chatter/Clutch Noise/ Double Mass Fly Wheel and you will learn more. I understand your pain. I love my G, but hate the clutch. The good thing is after I put 11K mi. on the clutch 75% of the noise and chatter went away.
