Gas door wont open!!!!!!!!!!
Gas door wont open!!!!!!!!!!
qtf I just bought a G yesterday and Im trying to gas her up today and the damn door wont open. Im scared to pry it and open it with force because I know somethings gonna break....anyone know any tricks on how to get her open without breaking something?
Take the remote with you and press the unlock key like 4 or 5 times. Then a gently push on the gas panel will open the thing - kinda like the glass doors on TV cabinets.
Otherwise it's broken...

btw, if this happens again, there is a manual release inside the trunk, just like LJN mentioned above. you don't need to break it.

it happens all the time... well, you have to clean your "gass door lock" mechanism... it get dirty and it gets stuck all the time... get some simple green and itll be fine...
btw its the white lock mechanism on the left side when you ope the gas door.

dont pry the door open. if you are stuck without gas and a stuck motor/solenoid, pull the trunk liner aside, reach in and pull on this (you'll feel the notched tab)

you may need a phillips screw driver to get some of the cargo net latches loose, then you can easily reach this. You can unplug it so it doesnt relock before you can get back to the dealer to replace. With winter coming, its going to start happening alot again.
