same here in the cup holder. I have a sidekick so it won't fit in the ash tray sadly.

I wired the accessory jack in the console to provide power when the ignition is off. I made a basket out of oak to fit in the console. I mounted my EDFC and Nexus remote in the basket and I leave the phone in the basket and plugged in whenever I am at home or in the car. The phone is bluetooth, so I don't need to touch it to answer a call if I am in the car. It all works great and everything is hidden and out of the way when the console is down..

sorry bro, but i would HATE to have that 'basket' in my car. 1 of the many reasons, it doesnt look great (may come in handy though), and my elbow wouldnt be as comfy..
