G35 Clutch?

I'm curious if anyone has been able to adjust and/or change out the hydraulic clutch on the G? I hate the clutch in this car. I'm used to driving it now but the engagement point is way too high and the spring board action it gives is kind of annoying as well. I know others have talked about the same issues before I just haven't been around to see if any resolutions have been found.

Re: G35 Clutch?

Sure, the clutch take-up is adjustible. Freshalloy had a huge thread on this a couple of months ago.

It's a simple process that involves loosening up a locknut and turning a threaded rod a few turns. Try to find the thread on Freshalloy.

Re: G35 Clutch?

I was looking for the rod to turn but it wasn't easily accessible. Most cars are. Take it to the dealer and they say that it can't be adjusted. Nice to know the dealership mechanics don't know how to do something considered trivial. =\ Thanks for the info. I'll check out freshalloy.
