Great review. I'm glad you've enjoyed your car throughout the years. I agree that dispite some of it's flaws, the G is a magnificent car. I have owned mine for two and half years now and still enjoy every minute of driving it.

man that was 5 years ago when the vids of the CB 6mt were posted online???
i remember it was one of the first times we got to hear it and see it drive through the parking lot etc.
i remember finding that on freshalloy like it was yesterday!

like you my G days have been nearly perfect. i have no regrets. and like you i would not trade it for the g37. i would however for the gtr lol.

What did you mean by "PAC iPod input?" Is there a way to get an ipod input / jack for an 03 - 04 Bose system?

man i gotta try out this clutch adjustment, mine is just so stiff man i hate it. if it was really smooth the car would be 100 times better for driveAability, which is what makes the car

Great review, The only thing I don't like about my '05 is the seatbelt holder rubbing against the seat shoulder or my neck. I don't think this changed until the 2006 model.

yes there is a factory Nissan kit....talk to Joe @ everythingG35.com (jtensensky here on the forum)....the kit actually shows track names on the factory head unit....it was designed for the Armada but works with our Bose systems. it plugs right into the harness...and if you buy the right connectors, you still can retain use of both ipod and Sat-radio.

@Sukairain, great review!!! I agree in all areas.

But if you are going to keep the G35, then the extended warranty wasn't wasted ....your's is the infiniti 10 year 100K mile one isn't it? I am following the same path...I'm keeping the G35 with the extended warranty and am putting the money saved into restoring another toy.

After spending 3 months driving in my 2006 G35 6mt, I wanted to sell it right away. Horrible road noise, rattles, cluch clankyness, popping sound coming from the rear over every dip or uneven surface, poor acceleration and the black paint was hard to keep clean. (scratches really easily and pollen sitting on the paint leaves embeeded mark on the coat thats hard to remove)..

Anyways, after taking it to the dealership, they found out the the rear axle bolt was (loose) causing the majority of the popping noises. Once that was fixed, I was a bit happier. But the clutch noise was still there and not the smoothes out there. (I owned a S2k before and that clutch/shifting was smooth). The S2k was also torque and Rev happy. A lot more spunk then the G.

The only thing keeping me from selling the car is the resale value and the just the Pure Look of the car. It's just once nice *** looking ride.

The best offer received for the car was 25k.. Car has 8k miles, blk on blk, fully loaded with everthing. (spots pkg, premium, 19" wheels, Navi, Rear active steer all the bells and whistles). Paid 40k out the door. Almost 45% price drop in resale value in just 6 months of ownership.. WOW...

KBB says 36k, but no one has even offered me 30k... Maybe because the majority of the buyers who are interested are HS kids..

Sukairain, I have most of the same praises/problems as you. Did you ever have your transmission replaced for the grinding? Mine hasn't done that since it was replaced under warranty.

Listen up everyone. Ive had my car for almost a year now. I hated the stock clutch also. I just had the Jim Wolfe Technology Clutch/Flywheel Combo along with a new transmission installed 2 weeks ago. Now im back in love with the car. Get a new clutch, you will be so happy with the results

It's been 2.5 yrs with mine, and I'm still in love. I've been thinking of other cars, but it won't be too soon...I love the G35 too much!
