I'd recommend doing it yourself, if you feel you can do the install. It's a rather simple installation for most people and you can save some money by doing it yourself. Money that could maybe go towards your next modification :-)

Do it yourself. Very simple install. 30-40 min max time. There is very little that you can do wrong. Enjoy your Z-Tube and Pop-charger. I love mine.

Re: Installation of Z/pop

I've had more difficult times hanging ceiling fans in my house. Real simple install to do on your own. You unscrew maybe 10 screws, remove a couple of pieces, apply "rubber" shields to the heat shield and re-assemble using a combo of the new parts and a couple of the old ones. Piece of cake if you print out Jason's DIY. Jason's DIY . The MAF is a wire that becomes apparent when you go to take out the stock tube and it's attached to it. Simply (gently) pull it apart, like unplugging an electrical socket from the wall, and lay it aside until you reassemble it later. (My 2004 6mt had a zip tie that I had to cut loose on the MAF wires. FYI. Fortunately I had a bunch of black zip ties that I used to "clean up" my home entertainment system wiring).

Re: Installation of Z/pop

How long would you say it took you to install the Z tube+Pop Chrgr ?
I saw it took Tybrey about 30-40 minutes... what about the rest of you?
Also, has anyone reset the ECU after the install?

Taking my time, less than 1-hour. I had help from 2 friends, but we were not in any hurry. As far as ECU reset, if you drive stick I personally think it's a waste. You tell the car when to shift, and it's the ECU's job to monitor air intake. Others have differing opinions, but I left well enough alone and had zero problems.

don't know why my name did not show up above but it took me about an hour also. I did not reset my ECU either...I think I will though after I install my grounding kit.

Re: Installation of Z/pop

Took me about an hour to install. I was also cleaning the engine as I was going though. Really, really simple... I absolutely love this setup. No problems whatsoever. Good luck.
