How pef based are stock pads??

Can you autox or do a short road race on the stock pads in a 6MT with Brembos? How performance based are they?

You can run the car on track with the stock brembos, but with the weight you may have to back off from time to time, depending on how easy you are on brakes. It also depends on the track and how hard you drive. The stock tires aren't all that sticky, so they won't overwhelm the brakes all that much, but on tighter road courses, where there's not long straights (to let the brakes cool off) you may run into mushy/faded pads and fluid pretty easily. Whether you upgrade the pads or not I'd recommend running good fluid, like Motul RBF600, it's inexpensive and a great way to prevent fluid fade, so your pedal still stays firm.

If you upgrade to stickier/wider tires, I wouldn't be suprised if you could rather easily overwhelm the stock brakes.

Auto-X you should be fine either way as you usually can't build up enough speed/heat to induce fade, especially with the stock brembo setup.

Thanks for the reply! I have Brembo slotted rotors on the way which should reduce the fade a bit and help the pads out as well.
