The Genie says my '07 G35 will go away in summer '09

Just came back from the nissan dealer...put down $2500 for the GT-R. I am #3 in line.

#1 put down about $70k cash, apparently he's a local businessman with lots of $
#2 Put down $2500 with the intention of reselling it immediately, dealer cannot not sell to him, even though they don't like it
# 3 me

So I figure with a release of 1500 per year, I wont get mine until summer of 09. I did get a copy of the check made and filled out a complete contract with a full money back stipulation, if they cannot get my options

Never done anything like this, by I got to drive the G like I stole it...till then.

Thanks guys. I couldnt believe my wife gave me the okay last night...does that mean I am a slave for the next 2 years...only time will tell.

Dad owned a '73 Skyline GT-R and he drove it for 22 years, ~230,000km, I remember rebuilding the engine after a re-boring when I was 13...wanted one ever since then.

But till then I am a faithful G owner

Congrats on your decision! I was contemplating keeping my 03 Coupe for a while and buying a GT-R, but I figured I'd rather wait til the second model GT-R/updates. So, I bought a G37S, plan on keeping that for 5ish years & maybe getting the GT-R, maybe not, if something better comes along :-)

I would love to get a GTR one day, they seem like they will be the king of the road for some time.
