Turbo/Exhaust Questions

Turbo/Exhaust Questions
Just wanted some opinions here.
I'm getting the Greddy TT Kit put on the G next month. The install is going to be done at Z1 Motorsports in Atlanta. Before I head down for the install, I'm trying to get all of the proper bolt on modifications in place so I can get the turbos on and the car fully tuned while i'm down there, so I don't have to make two trips. As far as I know at this point, I'm adding an underdrive pulley, a lightened flywheel with a more stout clutch, intake, test pipes, and an exhaust. Now, the subject of exhaust systems has come up regarding the addition of turbos.
I was told by an esteemed vendor that when I go turbo, the stock exhaust would be sufficient and to not even bother with an aftermarket exhaust. I find this kind of perplexing. On top of that, he also advised against the Injen exhaust because the piping is smaller than the others and said that I would need at least a 2.5 inch diameter pipe. This I can understand.
My concern is, what would you think about the gains with test pipes and cat back exhaust when the turbos are put on. Will it be worth the $1000 or not?
In my experience I have always realized huge gains over stock with the an addition of a full exhaust. But then again, the G was engineered pretty well so it could be possible that gains would be negligible. Thoughts?

Re: Turbo/Exhaust Questions
you will most deffently stand to gain for a turbo exhaust but you should be fine using the stock one up untill about 400HP then the stock will start to hindur ur power a lot. But i would go with high flow cats or test pipes if u are keeping the stock exhuast becuase remember the less restrictive the better when it comes to FI
good luck
