What's the Value of this car??

Here is the deal. I would like to sell my G35 and would like to know what I should sell it for. KBB value for retail is 28,900 and private party value is 26,1000.

It is a 2004 Black G35 Coupe MANUAL with every option but Navigation (Extra's: XM Radio, Alarm, Fully Tinted, Clear side markers). The Miledge is 21,000. I have the 06-07 19" rims on the car with only 1000 miles (were brand new, installed at 20,000). Mint condition inside and out. Non-smoker. No accidents. Clean titile. Original Owner. Garaged. New Brakes.

Thanks for your opinion.

Based on those KBB values and your description, you could probably sell it for about $26K.

Depends on the area you live in, but KBB values tend to be on the high side. Just FYI to temper your expectations. 04 Coupes around here (Chicago) are listing for low-mid $20K range from the dealer, so private party, you're looking at maybe $21K-22K.... Good luck

Check out Edmund's TMV for a more accurate assessment. Or, look at Cars.com to see what people are listing comparable cars for - it's not about what we think, but what the market says.

the market is soft for used g's, espcially this time of year. kelly blue book is useless for valuation. they have always been 15%-20% higher than market value. i sold my 06 sport 6mt loaded w/nav, mint, garaged, and 8k miles for 28k.

i would say that it depends on how long you want to sit on the car/lucky enough to find a buyer that really wants what you have. good luck with your sale.

Check at www.nada.com. They are usually a better reflection of the market in a specific area.

according to nada my 05 with 16k miles and all options but nav is worth 30,100
edit: and according to kbb its 33,500.

i think it has to do with location because it asks zip code, and im in san jose, cali. where everything is expensive

edit#2: i used retail values btw, cuz it was the highest lol

Thanks. I looking to let it go for 25,000 and I got the feeling that you guys mostly feel the same way. I agree the winter time is prob not the best time. The ones in the low 20's are all automatic's. Im guessing the manuals are like 3g more or so. Thats how they were priced back in 04 if I remember correctly

I'd say $24k is realistic. Obviously you should offer it at a higher price and list it as OBO. But you're not going to get more than $24k for it unless you run into a sucker.

Nice car though, looks like you took real nice care of it.
