Question re Automatic / Tiptronic setup

I'm thinking of buying a G35 in the near future..

Just have a question re the automatic / tiptronic setup...

I've noticed from pictures that the gear stick set up differs from the 03/04 model to the 05/06 model...

Can someone explain to me what this difference entails?

Ta

05-06 have revmatch downshift feature in them, which 03-04 don't have.

which means when u are going 80 mph in 5th gear just cruising on the highway, all of a sudden u just wanna go fast, but first u wanna downshift to an appropriate gear (which would be 3rd gear), so u pull that ***** looking thing towards the back seat twice and instead of car slowing down for split second it automatically shoots the rpms at 5500 rpm from 3000rpm before engaging to 3rd gear and then ur gas pedal starts working properly.
