Another spoiler question

If your car comes with a spoiler (from production) should your car still have the physical rear break lights by the rear windows (even though it's disconnected), or should that piece not be there at all. Mine came with it and I'm wondering if my spoiler was dealer installed.

Re: Another spoiler question

no, it should not have the brake light in the rear window. If you have it the spoiler was added at the port or dealership.

Re: Another spoiler question

The dealer did not tell me the spoiler was "dealer" installed. On the Infiniti website, the car listed 4 piece aero kit. How can this be? Do the dealer's write the inventory themselves? Isn't this false advertisement? I thought I was getting a car made entirely from Factory. Am I over reacting? I just don't want that leak problem people are talking about.

I don't know that they're required to tell you but I'd feel the same way. I'd want to know if the dealership or port did work on my car.

Re: Another spoiler question

I am not sure if I can comment on your exect situation, but I can tell you that my car came showing the Aero Package as well as a 3-piece Aero Kit on the sticker (sans rear spoiler). It does NOT have the 3rd brake light inside the rear window.

When I bought it, a salesperson told me that if it leaves the factory with a rear spoiler, it will not have the 3rd brake light in the window.

Good luck

Re: Another spoiler question

It's possible that the 4 piece areo kit was a port installed option. It seemed like it was put on some cars delivered around the summer of '03 but not to many others. Thus theses cars left the factory w/o a spoiler and hence, the window brake light.
