my dealer keeps jerking me around and telling me that they might not let me test drive manual g coupe, did anyone experienced this problem ? how can I buy a car without test driving it ?

My dealer handed me the keys and let me take it out with my wife, solo. We had already test driven an auto, so he had seen that I was a sane driver. If you're near Atlanta, my dealer is Roswell Infiniti of North Atlanta, salesman Jeff Hoffman. He's a really nice guy and while he works for the dealer, made me feel like he was in my corner during the purchase.

believe it or not, i bought the coupe without even test driving it, seeing it or even touching it. lol, i saw 1 picture of it on the internet, said wow, looked at the stats on carpoint, and went and bought it

LOL !!!!! me too...I didn't even ask to drive it...just bought it, signed the papers and drove home.

But seriously...you should without any hassel be able to test drive it...if not, just go somewhere else and don't let them have your business.

 

you probably can't test drive the car you ordered, and it's pretty hard to catch one of these on the lot for test driving.. the only one my dealer had was the prototype in the show room.. i wanted to test drive the coupe, but they just don't have it available...

I bought the 6MT w/o test driving it. I drove a manumatic but not the 6sp. They didn't have one on the lot. I've read that some people who "need" to feel the 6sp go over to their local Nissan dealership, test drive the 6sp 350Z and get the experience that way.

 

Most the dealers around her in SOuthern Cali don't have a 6MT to test drive and have never had one. I did test drive an auto though.

I test drove an automatic but never got to test drive 6MT before i bought one. None of the dealers had one to test drive. I liked the automatic and figured manual has to be even better and i didn't get disappointed when i bought it.

I am in same boat with other posters. Test drove an automatic 2 or 3 times (dealer in Portland, OR), then ordered my 6MT. It came in, I looked at it (yep, that's it!) and signed paperwork. First time in seat was when I embarrassingly took 4 tries trying to get it into reverse, but kept getting 6th.. I was lucky not to ram the Q45 just in front of me!

I saw the 6mt before we got it but they wouldn't let me test drive it. But I am glad that we got it.

yea i didn't test drive the 6mt g35 either. i did test drive the 350Z track 6mt. it was a bit notchy compared to the g35. i love the feel of the g35.

 

I had no problems test driving the 6MT. Walked in and found they several on the lot. Told them I wanted to try the 6MT and they gave me the keys. Didn't even ask if I could drive stick. They did have alot of Coupes though so maybe that had something to do with it. I ended up buying the car the next weekend. By then there were only two left out of the original 10 I saw. This was at Cerritos Infiniti in So Cal. They told me they sell alot of G35 sedans so they were aloud to order more than usual per month. If anyone lives in So Cal I would suggest checkin it out.

I never was allowed to test drive a 6mt either. I only got to sit in a automatic coupe. Wasn't allowed to drive that either. So I still ordered it just from sitting in it. The best seats I have ever sat in. Can't wait for my 6mt to get here.

dont sweat the test drive. they didn't let me have the keys to the auto until i sat down and "talked numbers" with the sales rep. i still havent driven the 6mt but i went ahead and ordered one anyways. if it's anything like the auto, then all i can say is......DAMN, what a car!!!!!

 

i did talk numbers, but i told them there is only one way to sell this car if i get a test drive, they told me ok and i still didnt hear from them weird people !!!! they dont wanna sell cars ? i am just kinda confused !
