Re: 250-260 miles per tank

My experience has been 15-18 mpg in city and 20-24 mpg on the highway.

This car, for the most part, swallows gas in city traffic.

Yeh mine's a hog too in city driving, especially in cold winter weather.
Hwy driving is good, but city driving kills any economy.

Re: 250-260 miles per tank

so are you drivin in city traffic for the entire tank??? no highway at all? because i'm on my very FIRST tank of gas, and I'm about at 220 or so with the needle a little below half. But I do like 70% highway and 30% city. I'll see what the final outcome is when I get to the bottom of the tank.

Re: 250-260 miles per tank

I'm getting about the same 15-18 mpg in the city. My low fuel light likes to come on when I still have about 5-7 gallons in my tank? weird... and my fuel needle never goes up to the top? Well, bringing in for service on saturday. See what they say about it.

yes, its all city driving.

i dont need to drive on the highways because my work is so close. and its not really city driving like in boston or anything, its usually regular roadways with stop lights. btw im located in s. florida

Re: 250-260 miles per tank

whenever i fill my car with mobil or chevron, i can never fill all the way to the top. for once, i ran out of gas to the point that i have to fill it right away. the closest gas station is Unocal. I try unocal and guess what, my tank went above that last indictator. It stop between the Full and last indicator. What i also notice is now i am getting 23.5 mpg. where before with mobil and chevron, i was getting 19.3 mpg. this is mixture of city and highway driving and lotsa traffic (stop and go on the 405 freeway)

I am on my second tank with unocal and will see what happen. So have i at about 270 and little over a 1/4 tank left.

Yes it does suck we 3.5 02+ Maxima and 350Z owners complain about the same thing on our forums. The 3.5 is just thirsty in everyday city driving!
