Just installed Z-tube/JWT, what can I expect..

Just installed a Z-tube and JWT pop charger, what can I expect in terms of any changes in rpm's, sound, driving experience?

What I am noticing is that it takes more pressure on the gas pedal for me to hit 3000rpm's. Is this expected and good?

Sound for sure and possibly some butt dyno increase. Everyone's experience might be a little different. Drive it and find out what your own experience is .

Re: Just installed Z-tube/JWT, what can I expect..

Listed in order or significance:

1) Sound: tremendously different above 4k RPMs... Much more aggressive

2) HP Gains: after reading a website that sold the Pop charger, I came across a dyno result (rear wheel measured HP). The HP gain is between 6k-6.5k RPMs (very slim range), but the difference is about 5-6 HP to the rear wheels. Not much for regular use, but that will give you a little edge in a close race, when you are shifting above 6k RPMs.

I think that this is about it. You theoretically should get a "little" better HP gain from a traditional CAI (cold-air intake), because the filter is placed near the wheel well, and there is no intake of engine air (some engine temperature does influence the temperature of the intake piping, but it is negligible).

That is my two sense. Congrats on the pop charger. I have that setup too and love it.

I thought the combo showed gains starting from 4kish rpms all the way to redline...I could be wrong though.

You're not wrong. Around 4500 rpm's the dyno started measuring gains. By 5000 rpm's the 6 rwhp was shown, and held throught the rest of the power band. If you are getting on the accelerator (WOT) I figure ~50% of the time you are at or above 4500rpm's. After you hit 6500-ish in 1st, you shift to second you are pretty quickly at 4500 rpm's again and hold the power gain into third... and so forth.
