To the real enthusiasts...

I have had my 04 MT6 for just over 3 months now... I got to thinking... new year.... new car... new project?

I am considering some mods to gain a little more panache than the stock feel and am not really sure where to start. Any opinions? Parts? Brands? Costs?
I'm not sure that I am going to jump into twin turbos on my daily driver to start but any direction would be greatly appreciated.

I though instead of heading over to the local BMW...Honda... Nissan... toyota tuner shop... and them telling me to buy what they have in stock, I should ask the real enthusiasts.

The G (as stated above) is a 2004, MT6, with 70,000 KM's, and stock except for the K&N filter purchased by the original owner. I am a huge fan of the simple, clean, classic look (the shogun groundeffects, whale tails and homemade intake kits are definatley out) on a functional daily driver.

I started by combing through the posts, and to be honest there is way too much to cover.... Please help!

Thanks

JoeyJoeJo

Begining Mods.......Good Luck!

Your K&N drop in filter is almost worthless with the exception of giving you
something to clean every 5K miles or sooner. The best mod for performance
I've made is the combo of the MotorDyne spacer and cat-back exhaust. This
will do wonders for your '04. Look in our Marketplace, these items are alway
on sale for a good price. If you've made this mod the next step would be to
get a intake/z-tube combo to allow cooler air into your plenum like Stillens
CAI box. Now your G should be running well it's time to move to wheels and
springs. This will depends on your cash flow so check out once again the
Marketplace above because someone's always demoding their car. You can
also do a search under Mods for other opinions.......everyone has one or two!
Also check our Gallery for pic which will give you some idea of what other
members have done......Good Luck!

if your are not thinking to go FI best bolt on combo IMO are:

Plenum spacer
CAI
Pulley set
Exhaust

That should do it. All this things you can install your self.

headers will require shops assistance unless your have right tools at home.

yep

However I was unsuccessful to do it with throttle pedal. So I just used 12 hours with negative wire off the battery.
